Doubling and halfing

 This is my math create we had use a broad range of strategies called doubling and halfing and to half one number and double the other number like this

64x2=

so half the 64 to make it 32 and then double the 2 to make it 4 4x32=128

Tumu Teams Birthday Months

 

Today we were doing the birthdays from people in our hub in graphs. We had to copy a document and there were the birthdays already on there, so then we had to highlight and find a good graph to use, after we had to do that we had to name our graph horizontally vertically and at the top - that's the title. After that we had to check our setting and put it in our math's folder. Then we had to do it all again. As you could probably see there is only one person in the entire hub who has a birthday in July and out of 98 people and April has the most birthdays in the hub.

This week we were learning how to use broad range of

strategies to solve multiplication and division and make the

equation easier. do you think that it would be easier if you did

276 and divide it by 3=92

you could just take of the 6 of the 276 to make 270 and then

you divide 6 by 3 witch = 2 and then divide the 270 by 3=90 and

then 90+2=92 and thats your final answer.

4 - 2 = 2

And now we are done with the first one.

And now we are done with the second one.

Me and my dad  played a game called whats in the bag so I'l explain it. So you get 6 items and put them in a bag or one of your parents pockets and you call out the color of one of those things that you put in there. And when pull one out you then you check if the color was right or not and the piece is put back in the bag. After quite a few attempts I realised there were only 2 colours yellow and green . At the beginning I was getting most of them wrong but when I realised it was only yellow or green I got a lot of my guesses right.
